$1,000 a year and up

Membership in this Society is open to anyone who contributes $1,000 or more a year to the Arkell Museum.
Winslow Homer Society Members receive free admission to the Arkell Museum for themselves and their accompanying guests for the year.

Special events are scheduled each year for members of the Homer Society.
Upcoming Event: Visit to Portland, Maine with museum director Diane Forsberg for a special tour of Winslow Homer's studio led by Karen Sherry, Chief Curator and Curator of American Art at the Portland Art Museum.
The cost for this exciting opportunity will be $490 per person, and $347 per person for individuals sharing a room ($694 for couples). Please let us know if you want to participate as soon as possible, and no later than September 5, 2014. This special visit to Portland, Maine and tour of Homer’s Studio is limited to no more than 12 people. Anyone who does not want to travel to Maine on their own – is invited to be a passenger in a car driven by museum staff or a board member from Canajoharie—so please also let us know if you are interested in transportation to Portland.

The mission of the Arkell Museum at Canajoharie and the Canajoharie Library is to promote and celebrate the understanding and enjoyment of the arts and humanities in Canajoharie, the Mohawk Valley, and beyond. The Arkell Museum collects, preserves, researches and presents American Art and Mohawk Valley History, and promotes active participation in art and history related activities, to enhance knowledge, appreciation and personal exploration by all.
