Calendar of Events at the Museum

The Arkell Museum offers programs for all ages that enlighten and entertain while celebrating art and regional history. We are constantly updating this schedule of film showings, concerts, lectures, workshops, and family activities, so check back often. Museum members will receive reduced or free admission to most programs!

JoAnn M. Andrews is a highly successful self-taught watercolor artist whose beautiful illustrations have appeared on Gibson greeting cards. Yoga in the Arkell American Art Gallery with Shanna Becker

Join Shanna Becker, Artistic Director of the Canajoharie Academy of the Performing Arts, for yoga in the art gallery! This is a low impact class stressing breathing, visualization and posing, to invigorate the spirit, increase flexibility and strengthen long, lean muscles. Homer, Turner & Cezanne in Syracuse Museum Bus Tour
$65 all-inclusive / $59 Members
We’ll depart at 8am from the Arkell on a private chartered bus; receive a private tour of the new Turner / Cezanne exhibit at the Everson Museum at 10am; enjoy a buffet lunch at noon; visit Syracuse University’s Winslow Homer exhibit at 2pm; and leave to return home at 4pm, arriving back at the Arkell by 6pm. A great opportunity to mingle with Arkell staff, docents and friends! Seats will fill quickly — don’t delay registering.
