Arkellebration!

Join us April 14 & 15 from 12:00-5:00 at the Arkell Museum for two days of celebration! We'll be exploring art and animals over a weekend of fun, including everything from aquatic birds to axolotl. Friends and community members of all ages are welcome at this free weekend!

- Find your favorite animals in the Arkell Museum's two newest exhibits; "Capturing the Essence: The Artwork of Beth Van Hoesen and Mark Adams" and "Fine Art Animals: From the Collection of the Arkell Museum at Canajoharie."
- Take a guided tour through the exhibits and learn more about the artwork and the artists
- Purchase books (perhaps a good animal story?) at the Library Used Book Sale
- Create your own one of a kind piece of animal artwork

***On Saturday, join area organizations like Schoharie Crossing State Historic Site, Ayres Memorial Animal Shelter, Canajoharie CYC, Canajoharie Palatine Chamber of Commerce, and more in the Great Hall for hands-on activities & demonstrations. We'll also have two acoustic performances of animal folk songs by musician Bill Ackerbauer at 1:00 and 3:00!***

***On Sunday at 1:00 pm, join the Catskill Puppet Theater in the Great Hall for their performance of "The Lion's Whiskers"***
