Telling Stories with MOVEMENT, Books, and Art with Beth Jacobs

Get the kids moving with this great Summer Reading Program Event!

Join Beth Jacobs professional dancer and educator as she combines movement and books to create a one-of-a-kind program experience!
Join us as we get moving to some great beats, connect it to our favorite stories, and get some energy out!
Come and dance with us! It is sure to be a blast!

This program is FREE.
Best for ages 4-10

Parents/ guardians are encouraged to participate with their children. Children don't tend to participate unless their adult does too!
This program will be inside the Great Hall of the Arkell Museum and Canajoharie Library.

All unvaccinated adults and children (over the age of two) must wear a mask during the program. Social distancing will be maintained.

Let's Talk Art: The Winslow Homer Oil Collection of the Arkell Museum

Join Curator of Education and Public Engagement, Mary Alexander as she discusses the seven Winslow Homer oil paintings in the Arkell Museum collection.
This collection of paintings, now on view, encompasses several phases in the artist's storied career.
Through these seven paintings, we will examine distinctive changes in Homer's style from Civil War artist to marine painter - with much in between.

This will be a virtual event on Zoom.
This talk will be 45 minutes.
