Winslow Homer's Birthday Party

Happy Birthday, Winslow Homer! Help us throw a birthday party for one of the Arkell Museum's favorite artists. We're technically a day early, but at 182 years old, we didn't think that he would mind.

To celebrate, we'll learn a little bit about Mr. Homer's life, take a closer look at all seven of his oil paintings currently on display in the Night Watch Gallery, and even get a special look at a few of his watercolor paintings, brought out just for this program. Then, we will head down to the classroom and create our own works of art inspired by the artist!

This is a free Winter Break program for artists of all ages and abilities. RSVPs and donations are not necessary but are always appreciated, as they help us get a better understanding of the number of supplies to prepare and help cover the cost of materials.

For more information, contact Curator of Education & Public Engagement Jenna Peterson Riley or call (518) 673-2314 x 113.
