Erie Canal Evening at the Arkell Museum & Canajoharie Library

Help us welcome the Cycle the Erie Canal, whether you'll be on a bicycle, volunteering with the ride, or just want to visit the museum. We're staying open until 8 pm, with reduced admission of $5.00 beginning at 5 pm. Come see our Erie Canal exhibit "Minging the Waters", and stroll down to Riverfront Park where the schooner the "Lois McClure" from the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum will offer free shipboard tours from 4pm-7pm. No swabbing required!

The mission of the Arkell Museum at Canajoharie and the Canajoharie Library is to promote and celebrate the understanding and enjoyment of the arts and humanities in Canajoharie, the Mohawk Valley, and beyond. The Arkell Museum collects, preserves, researches and presents American Art and Mohawk Valley History, and promotes active participation in art and history related activities, to enhance knowledge, appreciation and personal exploration by all.
