Onward! "Great Duties Await You" Student Gallery Walk with Artist Christine Heller

Join artist Christine Heller for a guided gallery walk through her exhibit "Truth is the Only Safe Ground to Stand Upon" for a discussion of the suffragists she has depicted in portraits and how their work is relevant to women today. Heller will also discuss her own journey as an artist, and how her career has led to this exhibition.

All students, male and female, are welcome to this lively discussion. Through the course of the program, Girl Scouts will fulfill numbers 1, 2, 7, and 9 of the requirement for the "Centennial of Women's Suffrage in New York" patch program.

This is a free program for students elementary through high school, although donations are always welcome. For more information, please contact Jenna Peterson Riley, Curator of Education & Public Engagement at jriley@arkellmuseum.org or (518) 673-2314 x 113.
